SUMMIT ACADEMY RULES & POLICIES 2017-2018

 

UNIFORMS: Girls must wear a one-piece leotard.  No midriffs are allowed.  However, shorts and shirts may be worn over the leotard.  Underclothing cannot be showing.  No jeans, shorts, or pants with belts or buckles can be worn.  Hair must be tied away from face.  No jewelry is allowed in class.  Boys can wear body suits with pants or t-shirts and shorts.   

 

PAYMENTS:          FALL/WINTER/SPRING SESSION

                        (continuous enrollment from August 2017 to May 2018)

You are responsible for continued session payments unless you contact Summit Academy TWO  WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE NEXT PAY PERIOD and withdraw you child from his/her class.  Payments are due before or at the first lesson of each pay period.  These fees are non-refundableA $15.00 late fee will be added to past due accounts.   Any collection fees involved will be passed on to the parents.  We accept cash, check & credit cards(Visa, MasterCard, & Discover) for payment.  Auto pay by credit card available upon request.

SUMMER SESSION:

                         Sign up separately for summer (June and July)

 

WITHDRAWALS:  A space is reserved for your child until June 2, 2018.  You are responsible for continued 8 week payments, unless you contact Summit Academy at least TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE NEXT PAY PERIOD  and withdraw your child from his/her class.

 

MAKEUPS:    As in any teaching institution students may not “come as they please” as this causes a disruption in the student-teacher ratio.  For the benefit of the students this policy must be adhered to.  Classes missed due to injury or illness can be made up during our scheduled make up days.  **If a student must miss class due to a long-term injury or illness (2 or more weeks) a credit toward the next month’s classes will be issued with a doctor’s slip.  All make ups must be completed while enrolled in a class.  Competitive team members are not eligible for make ups.

 

HOLIDAYS:            HOLIDAYS WILL INCLUDE:

                    Labor Day, September 4 – Please see makeup schedule.

                        Halloween, October 31 - Please see makeup schedule

                    Thanksgiving, November 23 - Please see makeup schedule.

                    Christmas Vacation, Gym is closed

          Monday, December 25, 2017 – Saturday,  January 6, 2018.  

                    Class Meet Friday & Saturday, TBD- extend to June 8&9, 2018.

                    Good Friday, March 30, 2018 - Please see makeup schedule.

                   Memorial Day, May 28, 2018 Please see make up schedule.

CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER:  Cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted on our website homepage and Facebook. No credits will be given for closings due to the weather. We will allow makeups for classes missed due to the weather.

 

BEHAVIOR: No food or drink in the gym.  Students should show respect to staff and facility of Summit Academy.

 

VALUABLES: Valuable items should not be brought to the gym.  Summit Academy will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

CLASSES:   Students may enroll at any time.  We can pro-rate into any session.  Do not drop off students more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the class.  Students must be picked up on time.

 

VISITORS:   Visitors must sit quietly in the designated areas.  Parents, children, relatives or friends are not permitted on the gymnastics floor during class.  Please do not talk to or otherwise distract the  children participating in the classes.  Any interruptions could result in serious injury.  Please keep children off the dance floor.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS:     Photographs of your child may be taken during classes; if you do not wish these to be used for our advertising purposes please sign a form at the office.
